Jet Propulsion Laboratory Tour
Don’t miss this special opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at one of the world’s premier aerospace research and development centers. Located just 35 miles (56 km) from the Microwave Update, JPL is a large NASA-operated facility tasked with developing and building robotic planetary spacecraft. Among its vast collection of historically and scientifically significant projects, JPL has been responsible for the Voyager deep space probes, the Viking landers, and the Mars rovers.
The tour itself (2-2.5 hours) will include a multi-media presentation about JPL, a visit to the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility. Additionally we are scheduled for a special presentation regarding the Deep Space Network.
