Registration

Events are NOT cheap to set up and organize and this one is no exception. Because of how the casinos and convention centers write the contracts, they force me to sell a minimum number of room nights, food and drink. If we don't meet the minimum, I have to pay a penalty. Of course we rely heavily on sponsorships for prizes to attract people, the balance must come from charging admission to the attendees. The single greatest issue is the unknows, from not knowing how much to charge, based on how many people we can expect and meet our budget. Because we can never know exactly how many people will register, I have to guess based on what I am told from others from past events. And then there are those that expect to register only and not come to the banquette. I'm sorry, but when you come to a conference and then you want to do your own thing which is antithetical to why we have a conference i the first place where people come to attend. The pandemic wiped out this event for years in a row and we are slowly getting back to normal and so its a hard decision to have everything a-la-cart vs. making everything included. If I offer a-la-cart pricing and not knowing who will buy what, I would have no choice but to make everything more expensive. So in an effort to keep the prices down as low as possible and offer so much and avoid triggering a penalty, this events registration will be all inclusive. The registration includes...

Admission to the event, badge, conference schedule, and goody bag with extras

A copy of the proceedings (this is huge)

A raffle ticket for the mini raffles

A banquette ticket which includes the main raffle ticket and a drink ticket (more tickets available at the event)

A light breakfast both days

A box lunch both days

A light afternoon snack both days

Hotel guests have 48 hours before arrival to cancel their room.

Event cancellations will be allowed up to October 16 at midnight.
