We are very fortunate to have Scott both presenting a paper at the conference and being our banquet speaker.

If you are not aware of Scott's background here is his bio.

Scott is an amateur scientist whose passion is the study of artificial satellites of the Earth and the Moon. He takes great interest in studying the celestial mechanics of artificial satellites.

His day job is as an electrical technologist who designs, maintains and installs electronic systems for boats.

His passion was fueled as a kid by the space program and then as a teenager he was active building equipment and learning more about electronics and things in the sky. He studied engineering and over time took up the hobby of satellite tracking, anything that moves basically, just to learn about celestial mechanics and the math behind it and then applying it practically.

Scott does this as a form of self-learning or training and helps him to retain lessons from his past formal training. He also does this as the means to keeping track of what’s going on in space, much of which is classified otherwise and not known to the public.

Scott has achieved many notable accomplishments including the finding of a NASA satellite “lost and abandoned” for many years, the successful reception of several satellites orbiting around the planet Mars , using very modest equipment ! More recently he has discovered startling information about the trajectory of a Chinese deep space satellite that was surprising to even the “professionals”.  He has been widely reported in media including on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMsE1rxeOw4

I am looking forward to hearing him present.
